GWGW Series Marine Gearboxes (GWC, GWL, GWD, GWK, GWS, GWH, GWM, GWT, GWU; sizes 2830–85120)
GW Marine Reverse-Reduction Gearbox CGC

GW is CGC's main series of marine gearboxes for medium-speed diesels, based on the Lohmann & Stolterfoht licence of 1980: speed reduction, reversing, disengagement of the propeller shaft by a multi-disc friction clutch and absorption of propeller thrust by an integral thrust bearing. 9 designs — 5 reversing and 4 non-reversing — with coaxial or vertically, horizontally or diagonally offset shafts; sizes from GW2830 to GW85120, 200–1,800 rpm input, thrust up to 1,440 kN. PTO/PTI versions drive shaft generators: GWK80112P1 for a Russian trawler is rated 8,000 kW with a 4,126 kW PTO.
