GCGC Series Marine Reduction Gearboxes (GCS, GCH; sizes 400–1250)
GC Marine Reduction Gearbox CGC

GC are single-stage marine reduction gearboxes without a friction clutch: case-hardened and ground helical gears, an integral propeller thrust bearing and PTO on all models. GCS has vertically offset shafts, GCH horizontally offset shafts. Sizes GC400–GC1250 by centre distance, ratios 2–4.5, thrust up to 1,500 kN, power up to 10,000 kW; rolling bearings up to 560 mm and sliding bearings from 600 mm. Low noise and vibration make the series suitable for electric-propulsion ships, cruise ships, ro-ro vessels, bulk carriers and government vessels.
