GV Twin-Input Marine Gearbox CGC
GV marine gearboxes combine two engines on one propeller: two input shafts and one output shaft, with clutching, speed reduction, thrust absorption, single- or twin-engine operation and power take-off for shaft generators and fire pumps. Versions GVA (without clutches, variants B and C) and GVW/GVL (with friction clutches), centre distance 900–2,050 mm, ratios 1.5–6, transmission capacity up to 27 kW/rpm, thrust up to 2,000 kN. Reference: GVWD1455P1 for a 120 m Antarctic krill processing trawler — 2 × 4,000 kW, 1,200 kN thrust.
