Gearboxes for vertical-roll (edger) stands of the roughing and finishing groups of hot rolling mills; the main drive of a vertical stand features large lateral reduction and high rolling torque. CGC has mastered the design and manufacture of the full range and can equip an entire line. The catalogue lists types E and P1E rated 150–1,500 kW, input speed 175/460 … 335/730 rpm, input–output centre distance 1,080–3,090 mm, ratios 4.5–7, supplied for 1450, 1580 and 1780 mills. CGC also builds vertical-roll gearboxes for SMS projects.
