SBDSB / SBD-A / SBD-B / SBD-C / SBD-D Series Safety Brakes
Safety Disc Brakes JINGU SBD

SB and SBD are normally closed hydraulic safety (emergency) brakes for the low-speed (drum) shaft: applied by disc springs and released by oil pressure from a hydraulic power unit. SB comes in 7 sizes with 50–500 kN clamping force for discs from Ø500 to 1,800 mm and above, 30–40 mm thick; SBD comes in versions A (100–315 kN, discs 800–1,800 mm), B (80 and 160 kN) and C (250–425 kN, discs from 1,800 mm; B and C were formerly SBB), D (50–240 kN, discs from 600 mm). Non-asbestos linings are insensitive to water and salt spray; options: release, closed and lining wear limit switches.
