EVD Draw-Wire Mechanics for Encoders ELCO
EVD draw wire mechanics convert linear travel into rotation of an encoder shaft: a coated steel wire rope winds onto a measuring drum and a return spring keeps it taut. Eight versions cover 2–20 m, with 200 mm (2–3 m) or 333.334 mm (5–20 m) of wire per drum revolution, 0.05 % FS linearity and 0.01 % repeatability. High-strength aluminium alloy housing, −25…+85 °C. The unit mounts onto an encoder with a B6 flange (synchro flange, Ø 6 mm shaft), e.g. EAC58B6 or EAM58B6; resolution and interface are set by the chosen encoder.
